Drew Laird was a man who fervently sought after life and Jesus Christ. He served his country in Iraq for a year as a Med-Evac helicopter pilot and returned from war ready to begin assessments for Special Forces. During his own training for the Navy SEALS, he passed out in the water and drowned leaving behind his pregnant wife and a two year-old son.

"Widow Behind the Flag" is the story of hope in the midst of deep heartache as God intimately demonstrated His faithfulness to Drew's widow, Natalie. From the moment she was told that Drew had died to months later giving birth to their son without Drew, God sustained Natalie and gave her peace in the midst of deep anguish.
